Victoria Sid – Russian Actress and Director You Should Know

These include not only painters, sculptors, designers, and decorators, but actors and theater performers too. In our previous blog posts, we wrote about the talented Russian actress Tata Khachatryan who has recently introduced her new mono-performance “Shagane. The Secret of the Poet.” This time, we want to tell you about a no less talented and inspiring actress, Victoria Sid, who is relatively new to the scene, but who has already achieved significant results in her acting career.

Victoria Sid is a Russian actress born in Central Asia in 1987. At the age of 14, she moved with her family to Arkhangelsk region in Russia, 20 years later to Pskov, and then to Saint Petersburg where she studied acting at the Graduate School of Directors and Screenwriters. In 2015, Victoria Sid moved to Moscow and entered the Moscow Film School from which she graduated two years later.

Victoria Sid is a young actress, but she has already appeared in a number of notable projects. These include “The Miracle Worker: Matrona of Moscow” (documentary, 2015), “1813” (short film, 2017), “Particle of the Universe” (TV series, 2017), “Anxiety” (short film awarded Best Foreign Short at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, 2018), and the recent one “Anna” (action film directed and produced by Luc Besson, 2019). Victoria Sid also tried herself as a director in a theater performance featuring actors with Down syndrome. It was staged at The Interaction Theater in Moscow in 2018.

Victoria Sid is a very talented actress who is sure to make a name for herself on both the big screen and stages around the world. She loves her path and will continue to follow her dream.
