According to the artist, SCHÖPFUNG is dedicated to the creative process as a basis of the living world. The exhibition includes both well-known and new creations by Iryna Fedorenko, unified under the umbrella motif of unity of the spiritual and the material. Most of the works presented at SCHÖPFUNG are devoted to the subjects of eternal movement and internal transformation.

Notably, a new series of artworks featured at SCHÖPFUNG showcases a new technique for Iryna Fedorenko. Abstract paintings were created on Chinese handmade paper, using only hands, without brushes and extra tools. These creations are the outcome of an inspiring experiment for which the artist is indebted to Julia Hupp from Buchhalter München. Her support and creative impulse played the main role in the emergence of these artworks.

Digital Art as an Innovative Part of SCHÖPFUNG

SCHÖPFUNG is Iryna Fedorenko’s solo exhibition, but it also features several innovative elements, including a digital art piece by her son, Denys Fedorenko. His graphical composition serves as an organic extension of the exhibition’s theme. Well integrated into Graf Rumford's art space, it plays the role of a bridge between generations and art forms.

Another innovative element of the exhibition is a light art project created in tandem with GoboPro.de, bringing two paintings to life right in the gallery’s hall and giving them new shades of meaning and deeper emotional edges.

SCHÖPFUNG is not the only art event featuring works by Iryna Fedorenko this spring. The artist took part in an exhibition in Milan, dedicated to her native town, Mariupol. The project has become deeply personal and emotional for Iryna because Mariupol occupies a special place in her heart. It featured many works filled with pain, light, and hope, moving the Italian audience to the depths of their hearts and taking a special place in the continuing dialogue about the war in Ukraine.
