Qatar has long been one of the centers of art aficionado activity in the Middle East. And 2024 won’t be an exception, with the 6th edition of the largest art festival in Doha – the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF 2024) – scheduled for November 25-30. The art fair aims to unite artists across continents and nationalities at a grand event that will welcome thousands of visitors from all parts of the world to appreciate contemporary art.
The festival will take place under the motto of the three O’s – Opportunity, Openness, and Optimism – which symbolize the organizers’ dedication to creating a single platform for art promotion in the GCC region and the Middle East. QIAF 2024 will host 12 events scheduled for the six days of its duration, from art discussion panels and art auctions to adventurous desert safaris and live painting masterclasses. The festival is also known for advanced networking possibilities and a one-of-a-kind sustainable fashion show.
Artist Lineup for QIAF 2024
There are still over six months until the event, but the lineup of well-known art-related organizations, sponsors, and participating artists is already growing longer. At present, the following participants with a name in the global art business have announced their interest: Aziz Bobohojiev, Jack Thomas Taylor, Alanood Jamal, Salah Khaled, and many others.
The event’s organizer is Maps International WLL, with the British Council and Msheireb Museums as notable partners. The festival will take place in the Katara Cultural Village where artists, sculptors, photographers, and all other types of creatives will meet to celebrate contemporary art trends and innovations and share their unique insights and experiences. The expected attendance exceeds 350 artists from 65+ states, which makes QIAF the largest annual art festival in the continent.
