A large-scale 91-day exhibition by Platform 101, titled Vol.05: Hidden Geometry & Glitch Art, is coming to an end this month, going down into history as the longest-running international video art exhibition in the Middle East. The show was opened at Rischee29 Art Gallery in Tehran, Iran, on January 17 and is on view through April 17, 2025. Check out the exhibition’s highlights below.
Vol.05: Hidden Geometry & Glitch Art: Highlights and Participants
As its name suggests, the exhibition is the fifth edition of a large-scale international event held by Platform 101 to promote video art and glitch art in Iran and the broader Middle East region. This year’s show has brought 21 artists from 13 countries together in a common effort to share their interdisciplinary work and keep video art alive.
Hidden Geometry & Glitch Art is held at Rischee29 Art Gallery, a unique space dedicated to innovative, experimental art, which has become a perfect location to explore and enjoy the best pieces of contemporary video and glitch art in a relaxing atmosphere. The exhibition is curated by Mohammad Ali Famori, one of Platform 101’s founders, known for his strong vision of fractal geometry and glitch esthetics.
The breathtaking lineup of innovative artists participating in the exhibition includes Abarca, Reza Famori, Arezou Ramezani, Ali Ettehad, Yannet Villela Medina, Arash Masoom, Kaoru Tanaka, Claude Ciccolella, Melisa Valipour, Diyufang, Eddie Lohmeyer, Franco Palliof, Melissa Faivre, Franz Rosati, Hiroya Sakurai, Sadegh Majlesi, Matteo Campulla, Jorge Flores (FRQNXY), Niloufar Baniasadi, Muriel Paraboni, and Shon Kim. Many of the artists are first-time participants in Platform 101’s events, which gives the visitors a fresh lineup with new insights.
