Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and also its cultural center with over 50 museums and 100 galleries for any taste. Besides, Zurich is a perfect city to explore European art and admire cutting-edge contemporary art in all its forms. There are lots of places that are worth visiting, but let us recommend one that is sure to be enjoyed by all fans of conceptual and abstract art – the amazing Wenger Gallery.

The Wenger Gallery

The Wenger Gallery was established by Anna Wenger in 2012 and since then has been a go-to place for all those who love conceptual, concrete, and abstract art. The gallery holds five to six exhibitions each year, showcasing a wide variety of artworks, from drawings and paintings to sculptures to venue-specific art installations by both national and international artists. In particular, the Wenger Gallery features works by such contemporary talents as Susan York, Hans Jorg Glattfelder, Italo Valenti, Frank Badur, Peter Tollens, and many other wonderful artists from around the world.

In addition to holding its own exhibitions, the Wenger Gallery participates in many international art fairs, including Art Paris, UNTITLED Miami Beach, VOLTA Basel, DRAWING NOW Art Fair in Paris, and Kunst Zurich. This year, the gallery also had to present works by Susan York at VOLTA New York, but, unfortunately, the fair was canceled due to concerns about the structural integrity of the exhibition venue.

If you love conceptual and abstract art, Fine Art Shippers highly recommends visiting the Wenger Gallery in Zurich. This amazing gallery definitely deserves your time and attention.
