No matter where you are in the world, the Moon is always there. For thousands of years, it has inspired artists and writers with its magical mysterious beauty and romantic glow. Being a symbol of the soul and eternity, the Moon captures our imagination like no other celestial body. To celebrate the enigmatic presence of our only natural satellite, the Palo Alto-based Bryant Street Gallery has presented LUNA, a group art exhibition where every artwork is a beautiful ode to the Moon and lunar effect.

LUNA is a group show that was originally slated for October 2020 to celebrate the two full moons that would occur that month. However, due to the coronavirus crisis and subsequent closures, the art exhibition was postponed. Still driven by the idea of a Moon-themed show with a celestial tie-in, Bryant Street Gallery was waiting for the ideal time to give it a life, and now this time has come. A total lunar eclipse and two “Supermoons” occurring during April-May 2021 are a perfect heavenly backdrop for LUNA.

Bryant Street Gallery opened its long-awaited LUNA show on April 17. Presented as a beautiful ode to the Moon, this amazing exhibition features an incredible selection of themed artworks ranging in mediums, styles, and genres, from abstract art to realism, from intuitive to narrative.

Individually, all of the presented artworks are diverse and distinctive, while collectively, they turn LUNA into an anthology, with every piece being a beautiful ode to lunar effect.
