Fine Art Shippers proudly works with many reputable galleries, museums, universities, and arts organizations in New York and throughout the United States. We ship fine art and antiques, do art installation works, pick up and deliver artworks, build custom crates for a wide variety of art objects, consult on the transportation of valuables, help artists with the organization of art exhibitions, and many more. Over the years, we have established strong connections with many institutions and art businesses, but we are especially proud to be working with the State University of New York at Stony Brook, which is mainly known as Stony Brook University. This university means a lot to us also because it is where one of Fine Art Shippers’ founders, Ilya Kushnirskiy, studied.
About Stony Brook University
Stony Brook University (SBU) is, without a doubt, one of the leading public universities and research institutions in the United States. With almost 1,500 acres of land and over 200 buildings, it is also the largest university in New York. Established by the governor and state of New York in 1957, SBU was initially known as State University College on Long Island. At that time, it was located in Oyster Bay. In 1962, the university moved to Stony Brook where it was officially renamed the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Today, SBU is one of America’s best public universities, which offers over 200 minors, majors, and combined-degree academic programs, along with vibrant campus life and a thriving research environment. Besides, it provides innovative health care and serves as a resource to the traditionally underserved and a regional healthcare network.
It is a great pleasure for Fine Art Shippers to work with Stony Brook University and serve this amazing institution and its wonderful people. We are happy to be part of the university’s community and support it the best we can.
