Its membership is almost entirely restricted to full-time graduate students, faculty professors, and alumni of the famous Yale University. The Yale Club was established in 1897 with the aim to allow graduates the ability to continue their friendships formed at Yale. Over time, this membership club has grown to become a large organization with a variety of different communities to meet the diverse expectations of its members.

The Yale Club of New York City, as we know it today, is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan in a beautiful neoclassical building designed by James Gamble Rogers. It was opened in 1915, and since then has been the largest college clubhouse ever existed. The Yale Club has over 11,000 members from around the globe, including some of the world’s most famous and influential people. For example, Gerald R. Ford, William Howard Taft, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, George Pataki, and John Kerry were or are members of the prestigious club.
