Yaacov Agam is one of the most known contemporary Israeli artists. A pioneer in kinetic and optical art, he has created numerous innovative works that are now in the most prominent art museums worldwide. The artist works in Abstract Art in a diverse range of media, from painting and drawing to sculpture and stained glass, often incorporating sound, light, and viewer participation. Yaacov Agam has also produced a number of public commissions, including the Hanukkah Menorah in New York City, which is the largest menorah in the world, and “Peaceful Communication with the World,” a monument created for the World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
