Fine Art Shippers is pleased to share the amazing news that our dear friend Will Yaya received Golden Art Award at QIAF 2019 held in Doha, Qatar on November 1-5. Will Yaya, who was appointed as Creative Director of this year’s edition of the art festival, was awarded for International Recognition and High Quality Creative Level. The award-giving ceremony took place at Katara Cultural Village in Doha on November 4.

Will Yaya is a Barcelona-based international artist known for his amazing figurative sculptures and large-scale paintings in bright colors. Will Yaya is also a talented designer whose original jewelry with organic elements and exclusive glasses created for contemporary women have won hearts around the world.
In addition to his artistic career, Will Yaya is a businessman in the arts. Together with his brother Alexander Yaya, they run Crisolart Galleries in Barcelona and New York and publish a magazine “Artmosphere,” helping emerging artists spread their art around the world. Yaya’s appointment as Creative Director of QIAF was another significant achievement in the artist’s career, which led to the prestigious Golden Art Award.
QIAF 2019
Qatar International Art Festival, or simply QIAF, is one of the largest art events in Qatar, held annually in the heart of Doha. Providing a platform to both local and international artists, it is aimed at helping talented people gain recognition and sell their works in Qatar.
QIAF 2019 brought to Doha over 200 artists from around the world, whose artworks were exhibited at a special exhibition. The major event was complemented by a live painting symposium, master classes, fashion show, and various discussions. All the notable participants were awarded special prizes and certificates.
The next edition of QIAF will be held in the first week of November 2020. The registration is already open, giving any artist specializing in painting a chance to take part in this important international art festival.
