For Fine Art Shippers, exhibition openings are always a treat. Not only are they an opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with the old, but they also remind us of the importance of what we do. As a fine art logistics company and Corporate Partner of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Fine Art Shippers is thankful for a chance to support and celebrate art in all its forms. On October 19, we had the honor of visiting the opening exhibition event of The Shape of Time: Korean Art After 1989 at our favorite Philadelphia museum.
Visiting Korean Art Exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Founded in 1876 in Philadelphia, PA, the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) is one of the country’s oldest art institutions. Its massive collection of around 200,000 items also makes it one of the largest museums in the US. The PMA constantly proves itself as the pivot of the local community’s culture and education, with educational events for people of all ages and backgrounds, happening all year round. The institution never fails to provide an inclusive and intersectional experience on all levels, including curatorship and event organization.
To Fine Art Shippers, partnering with the Philadelphia Museum of Art means supporting the missions and goals the institution pursues. We believe that adhering to values of accessibility and respect toward art and humanity is crucial. Fine Art Shippers is honored to be part of something integral to the prosperity of the local and national art scene.
About The Shape of Time: Korean Art After 1989
The Shape of Time: Korean Art After 1989 is a group exhibition of South Korean artists, all born between 1960 and 1980 when their home country was going through colossal political and cultural changes. The variety of media, techniques, and approaches creates a cohesive picture of a generation that struggles to find the balance between tradition and modernity, East and West, the past and the future.
Fine Art Shippers was extremely lucky to be present during the exhibition opening. The scale of the event was unmatched, and the works we had the honor of previewing were unlike anything we had ever seen before. Our company is eagerly looking forward to more amazing shows and collaboration opportunities with the PMA.
The Shape of Time: Korean Art After 1989 will be on view through February 11, 2024. We do not doubt that you will also enjoy this amazing exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art!
