The show features artworks in a diverse range of genres, from documentary photography to new media, including NFT art. “The Exhibition Lab Exhibition” runs at the gallery’s space in the Lower East Side neighborhood in Manhattan, 59 Orchard Street, through July 29, 2021.
The 2021 Edition of “The Exhibition Lab Exhibition” at Foley Gallery
The Exhibition Lab is an innovative center for fine art photography, which provides classes, workshops, and semester-long courses focused on the study of photography outside of a traditional academic setting. Led by Michael Foley, the founder of Foley Gallery, the course is dedicated to learning by critique and is aimed to encourage students to consider their own work by drawing comparisons with the work of other students. Discussion and critique sessions are held regularly throughout the course to give valuable and encouraging feedback. Such a nontraditional approach to the study of photography has made the Exhibition Lab a great resource for talented photographers wishing to grow in their practice.
The 2021 edition of “the Exhibition Lab Exhibition” features works by Takako Kido, Elizabeth Clark Libert, Bootsy Holler, Peter Essick, Fiona Aboud, Becky Wilkes, Sara Wight, Mayita Mendez, Lara Alcantara, Beth Galton, Kathryn Weinstein, Robert George, Jon Plasse, Christopher Fisher, Rob Farrands, Mark Peterman, Lisa Cutler, and Ted and Nune.
Each work presented at “the Exhibition Lab Exhibition” 2021 is beautiful, and each offers the viewer something new to experience and explore.
