Don’t miss a new project by Culturally Arts Collective – a digital analog of Graham Gurr’s “Vivid” exhibition originally presented at Arthall in Gozo, Malta. The exhibition is already available on the Culturally Arts Collective website and can be viewed until May 31, 2025. This is another milestone in the organization’s track record of making art more accessible to global audiences through the creation of virtual exhibitions.

Graham Gurr’s “Vivid” Exhibition at Arthall Gozo

Graham Gurr’s “Vivid” exhibition was first presented last year at Arthall, an art gallery in Gozo, Malta, under the curatorship of Marta Obiols Fornell. This was Gurr’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, which attracted many visitors with the artist’s unique visual language and skilled use of bright, energetic colors in patchwork-like pop art creations. Those who didn’t see it personally now have a chance to view Gurr’s art in a digital exhibition at Hanbell Gallery, an online art gallery by Culturally Arts Collective.

About Graham Gurr

Graham Gurr’s “Vivid” Exhibition Goes Digital at Culturally Arts Collective

Graham Gurr is an established Maltese artist who was born in the UK and moved to Malta after receiving a BA in Interior Design at Napier University and a PGCE in Art Teaching at Heriot-Watt University. The artist continued his education in Malta by receiving a postgraduate diploma in Research Methods and an MA in Maltese Contemporary Art Research at Gray’s School of Art.

Gurr is active in artmaking, art research, and education. His works often feature patchwork-like themes with bright and optimistic colors. Another recurring visual element of his art is a compilation of human figures in fancy visual compositions. However, despite his simplistic pop art manner of painting, Gurr is regarded as a deeply thought-provoking artist who touches upon troubling social issues. These include the challenges of human communication in the tech world and the growing social isolation associated with social media overuse.

Art Digitalization Work of Culturally Arts Collective

Culturally Arts Collective is a non-profit organization that helps artists expand their presence and visibility in the international arena by means of creating and showcasing their collections in digital format.

The organization works on increasing the visibility of empowering art and giving art connoisseurs greater access to a variety of contemporary artworks without the need to travel to the places of their physical display. This way, Culturally Arts Collective is deeply committed to eliminating the physical boundaries between art and its appreciators. In 2024, the entity displayed works by 3,500 artists from over 100 countries online, and this year promises to bring even greater results.
