Fine Art Shippers has recently introduced the unique art project “Da Race on Wheels,” which was created in collaboration with the famous NYC street artist Mitchell Schorr. “Da Race on Wheels” represents a real art shuttle van embellished by Schorr with his iconic auto race painting from the Da Race series. Thus, one of the shuttle vans that we use to deliver fine art all over the United States has been turned into a true work of art, a somewhat moving gallery showcasing Mitchell Schorr’s art around the country. However, this is only the first part of our art project. Now, “Da Race on Wheels” has been turned into an NFT artwork that is currently up for grabs on OpenSea.
“Da Race on Wheels” Has Been Turned into an NFT Artwork
Last month, Ilya Kushnirskiy, Marketing Director and Co-Founder of Fine Art Shippers, teamed up with the art critic and founder of International Art Management Sofia Birina, the founder of Kaprika Media Roman Luka, and the Mastermind of Think Tank Community and co-founder of Kingdom of Kaprika Sergey Sevantsyan to create our first NFT artwork on Rarible and OpenSea.
The process of creating and minting our NFT was part of a two-hour live educational workshop dedicated to Ethereum smart contracts, which was organized by Sofia Birina. Roman Luka and Sergey Sevantsyan shared their experience in creating smart contracts and helped Ilya Kushnirskiy turn “Da Race on Wheels” into an NFT. Now, the artwork is registered on the Ethereum blockchain and can be found on opensea.io.
It is important to note that when our NFT artwork of “Da Race on Wheels” is sold, the proceeds will be donated to a charity to support small businesses suffered from the coronavirus pandemic. As for the real “Da Race on Wheels” van, it will continue its travels across the United States to deliver fine art to Fine Art Shippers’ clients and promote street art as a full-fledged form of artistic and cultural expression.
