As a professional fine art handling company, Fine Art Shippers works with many dealers, galleries, and collectors, serving all of their art logistics needs nationally and internationally. We also provide a full range of fine art handling and fine art shipping services to museums and arts organizations, helping transport and preserve various works of art. For example, we had the pleasure of delivering art to the Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx, and now we want to tell you more about this amazing community.
The Andrew Freedman Home
The Andrew Freedman Home is an arts organization aimed at creating a healthy space for the community to come together, learn, and train. It is located in the renovated historic building that was constructed in the 1920s for the American millionaire Andrew Freedman with an idea to create a home for elderly individuals who had lost their fortunes. The building served this purpose until the 1960s. In 1983, it was once again reopened as a retirement home, this time not only for the formerly rich but also for all older individuals regardless of their past financial status.
Today, the Andrew Freedman Home is an artist hub consisting of different community programs, a small business incubator space, and an interdisciplinary artist residency. It hosts art exhibitions regularly, showcasing works by many talented artists, both in the galleries and throughout the building.
Delivering art to such organizations as the Andrew Freedman Home and providing them with fine art handling and shipping services is always a wonderful experience and a great pleasure for Fine Art Shippers!
