Paintings and Graphics by Mikhail Zvyagin

Mikhail Zvyagin

On May 1, at Ditra Fine Art Gallery located at 226 East 83rd Street, New York, guests gathered to enjoy “The Retrospective Art Show,” a wonderful collection of paintings and graphic artworks created by the remarkable Russian artist Mikhail Zvyagin. This time, the talented artist and sculptor presented his graphic and canvas art pieces from different years. Unfortunately, due to the rather small size of the exhibition hall, Mikhail Zvyagin was able to show only a few of his works. However, in the foreseeable future, New York will get two sculptures by this artist. One of them is Pushkin’s bronze bust depicting a new interpretation of the great Russian poet suffering after the duel. Another one is a highly emotional large sculpture titled “Disabled,” which will be placed in the cemetery of Novo-Diveyevo convent in Nanuet, not far from Manhattan.

Mikhail Zvyagin is widely known in Russia and abroad. His large sculptures are on public display at the Hermitage and State Memorial Museum of Leningrad Defense and Blockade, and his paintings are exhibited at the Russian Museum, one of Berlin’s museums, in our Princeton University, not to mention many private art collections, including those in America. Fine Art Shippers is very happy to work with such a talented and famous artist, helping him with the international transportation of his amazing artworks.
