Major Highlights of TAAG Gallery’s Group Exhibition

TAAG Gallery’s “Contours of Being,” the latest replication project by Culturally Arts Collective, features works by three Nigerian artists, each with their unique painting method and philosophy.

Duke Chinedu Mark, born in Umuguma Umunwayi, is a self-taught visual artist famous for his impressive ballpoint pen painting technique.

David Okoi is a visionary artist from Cross River State, fascinated with the power of human faces’ expression. He has dedicated his art to the revelation of untold emotions and stories in his portraits.

Toba Kayode Samuel, born in Oyo State, uses bright color palettes and collage-style painting techniques to examine the themes of identity, culture, and pressing social issues.

Each of the artists offers a unique contribution to the exhibition by adding a personal perspective on the contemporary themes relevant to the African and global society.
