On May 2, a very interesting art exhibition opened its doors at JD Malat Gallery in London. Titled “Urban Scene,” it is entirely dedicated to the work of Li Tianbing, a talented contemporary Chinese artist whose bold compositions perfectly interweave modern consumerism and ancient culture, capitalism and communism, West and East – thus showcasing the dualities of today’s China.
Li Tianbing was born in Guilin, China in 1974. After graduating from the prestigious Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2002, the young artist tried lots of different styles until he developed his very own, unique visual language that now sets his works apart. Today, Li Tianbing is largely known for his thought-provoking paintings that are rich in variety and beauty. Constructed through a fusion of contemporary Western and traditional Eastern artistic techniques, they reflect the artist’s cultural origins in a very appealing and vivid way. Moreover, Tianbing does not limit himself to only one genre or medium. He continues to push the boundaries of his art, exploring new forms of artistic expression. Works by this amazing artist are successfully exhibited worldwide, and they are in many private and public collections, including the Asia Society Museum in New York, the Denver Art Museum, the Red Mansion Foundation, and the DSL Collection.
At Fine Art Shippers, we highly recommend that you visit Li Tianbing’s “Urban Scene” art exhibition at JD Malat Gallery in London. Inspired by the themes of the humanitarian crisis and “the living dilemma,” it raises many important issues of the modern world. The art exhibition runs through June 15, 2019.
