Today, we are happy to share the news that El Al, Israel’s national airline, is also actively contributing to the present-day fight against Hamas attackers and seeks every opportunity to help the Israeli soldiers, the affected families, and volunteers participating in the struggle.
El Al, Israel’s National Airline, Stands with Its People
El Al keeps close ties with the affected families and communities that suffered from the unthinkable act of cruelty conducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Israel’s national airline has established several initiatives to partake in the relief of the current situation and assist the efforts of Israel in freeing the abducted innocent people, many of whom are vulnerable, helpless children. These initiatives include:
- Continuous collaboration and provision of free human transportation to members of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum in an effort to assist the diplomatic mission of freeing the abducted Israeli citizens.
- Partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh for the reunification of Israeli families and transportation of soldiers serving in the IDF.
- Provision of a flight voucher program that allows El Al customers and a wide range of Israeli supporters worldwide to support the Blue & White products. These flight vouchers can be used to cover international airplane ticket purchases at considerably discounted rates. Buyers of these vouchers are also treated to the status upgrade in the El Al loyalty program, enjoying the status of Matmid Frequent Flyer Club with corresponding benefits and special offers. Israel’s national airline donates 10% of the vouchers’ price to the IDF to support the efforts of the Israeli army, with part of the funds allocated to Israeli residents’ evacuation through FIDF and Shoresh Fund activities.
