Snug Harbor
Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden or simply Snug Harbor represents a whole complex of distinctive botanical gardens and architecturally significant 19th-century buildings that were once homes for aged sailors. For today, it includes 26 Victorian, Italianate, Beaux Arts, and Greek Revival buildings that house numerous exhibitions on contemporary art and historical subjects to provide dynamic experiences for all ages.
Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art
The Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art is an important part of Snug Harbor, which occupies five beautiful Greek Revival buildings and includes several galleries: the Main Hall, the SHARP Gallery, and the Commons Gallery. Each of them features contemporary art ranging from digital media to sculpture installations and paintings. Plus, The Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art is also known for its many interesting workshops, lectures, and art-related tours.
