The Mayor Gallery in London, UK

What an amazing experience for our team of fine art movers from NYC to get acquainted with London-based galleries! They are simply fantastic, especially those we had a chance to visit while being at Art Basel show this June! For example, Fine Art Shippers highly recommends Waddington Custot Gallery located at 11 Cork Street, Richard Saltoun Gallery located at 41 Dover Street, and Lévy Gorvy Gallery located at 22 Old Bond Street. There was one more gorgeous art gallery our team of fine art movers from NYC was happy to visit last month. We are now talking about the famous Mayor Gallery located at 21 Cork Street, London.

The Mayor Gallery

Founded by Fred Mayor in 1925, the Mayor Gallery is one of the oldest art galleries in London. Moreover, it was the first to open in Cork Street, not to mention that the Mayor Gallery was the center of the renowned British modern art group known as Unite One, which included such prominent 20th-century artists as Paul Nash, Henry Moore, Edward Burra, Edward Wadsworth, and Ben Nicholson. For today, the Mayor Gallery continues to showcase incredible art pieces by modern and contemporary artists from all over the world. In particular, its collection includes works by Tadaaki Kuwayama, Jan Schoonhoven, Otto Piene, Lucio Fontana, Joseph Cornell, Joost Baljeu, and many others.

Our small team of fine art movers from NYC spent a very good time visiting the Mayor Gallery at Art Bezel. It would be really cool to work with this renowned gallery in the future!
