This is especially true when you take part in such important international art events as Art Basel. This year, Fine Art Shippers not only shipped a collection of valuable art pieces from the United States to Switzerland for this renowned show but also spent much time visiting different art galleries from all over the world. In our previous blog posts, we wrote about some of them, and now we want to introduce Galerist, another notable art gallery our team of artwork shipping professionals was lucky to visit at Art Basel this June.
Galerist
Established in Istanbul in 2001, Galerist is now one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Turkey. Largely focused on presenting Turkish art in the local and international art scene, it is known for its many outstanding exhibitions held in Galerist Tepebaşı, a beautiful 18th-century historical building that houses the gallery’s administrative offices and exhibition spaces. It is also worth noting that Galerist frequently participates in the leading art fairs, bringing some of the best contemporary art to the world, including works by such reputable Turkish and international artists as Nil Yalter, mentalKLINIK, Gavin Turk, Semiha Berksoy, Serkan Ozkaya, Youssef Nabil, and Kendell Geers.
