Folk Craft & Pop Culture in the Work of Hannah Epstein

Multidisciplinary art is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting forms of art, largely due to its experimental nature. It is always a pleasure for our team to see innovative art pieces that perfectly combine different elements of art, often in a very unusual way. These particularly include works by Billy Gerard Frank who specializes in film installation and Lauren Baker known for her visually stunning neon light artworks. In this blog post, we want to tell you about one more master of multidisciplinary art – the talented Canadian-born artist Hannah Epstein.

Hannah Epstein

Hannah Epstein is a young multidisciplinary artist who completed her MFA at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2017. She specializes in the cross-section of digital video, experimental games, and textiles, creating really amazing artworks that are intended to turn the viewers into active players.

Hannah Epstein works in her very own style that represents a somewhat mix of folk craft, pop culture, and contemporary art. Moreover, the artist employs various game design techniques, bringing something new to multidisciplinary art and thus making her work stand out from many others. Epstein’s unique creations, which are usually combined with the themes of “play,” have already been exhibited at many solo and group shows, both in the United States and Canada. Besides, the artist took part in the international film festival DIAMETRALE that was held in Innsbruck, Austria, last year.

Hannah Epstein is currently represented by Steve Turner, a beautiful art gallery in Los Angeles. Very recommended by Fine Art Shippers!
