4 New Exhibitions at RH Contemporary Art

New York RH Contemporary Art has presented 4 new exhibitions that are on view until September 5, 2015. They include a group exhibition “The Studio Chronicles,” interactive installation “Swarm Light” by Random International, “Lost Doubloons Rest” by Tyra Tingleff and Jorunn Hancke Øgstad, and “Unknown Photographers” by Andrés Galeano. Let’s look at them in more detail.

The Studio Chronicles

“The Studio Chronicles” is a group exhibition of paintings composed of contemporary artworks by the European artists Nicholas John Jones, Damien Flood, Alessia Armeni, Daniel Schubert, and Aurora Passero. It includes meaningful works in figuration and abstraction styles filled with different symbols. For example, the London artist Nicholas John Jones plays in his works with light and form creating modern masterpieces that investigate painting’s dialectical nature. Damien Flood, a Dublin-based artist, creates fascinating works with simple forms that explore the variability of reality and language. Works by the Rome artist Alessia Armeni appear as investigations of immateriality depicting the changes of light shades in different circumstances. The Dusseldorf-based artist Daniel Schubert creates minimal in appearance and color works inspired by online media and advertisements, as well as urban and natural environments. Aurora Passero, an Oslo artist, combines painterly and weaving techniques creating haunting and unpredictable effects. In this way, all talented artists are trying to create new dialogs in modern painting. Prices for their works vary from $1,900 to $9,360.

Swarm Light

“Swarm Light” is an experimental lighting installation created in 2010 by a London-based design studio, Random International. It represents a sound-reactive chandelier made of 9,000 LEDs with a so-called “collective consciousness” that subtly reacts to the audible presence creating a unique soundscape, which alters the behavior of the surrounding space. In this way, the visitor has a great opportunity to interact with the surrounding sphere and the work itself. The amazing installation now presented at the RH Contemporary Art gallery helps the artists explore the possibilities of collective behavior through the use of sound, light, and movement.

Lost Doubloons Rest

“Lost Doubloons Rest” is a two-person exhibition that includes the latest paintings by modern Norwegian artists, Tyra Tingleff and Jorunn Hancke Øgstad. Although their works are compatible and distinct at the same time, the whole exhibition has turned out to be very interesting and harmonious. Thus, working both collaboratively and separately, two artists have managed to create textured paintings imbued with the spirit of experimentation in a unique improvisational manner. They are filled with lines, signs, and shapes that have been drawn from the contemporary visual culture, as well from the history of painting. So now you have an opportunity to see and buy one of the “Lost Doubloons Rest” paintings presented at RH Contemporary Art exhibition by Tyra Tingleff and Jorunn Hancke Øgstad. They are available in the price range of $6,700-8,200.

Unknown Photographers

The “Unknown Photographers” series was created by Andrés Galeano, a famous artist who has been exhibited in Canada, Europe, and Latin America. It includes different photographs and images presented in an abstract manner to illuminate the poetic possibilities of daily life. The artist collected material for this work from second-hand shops and flea markets to ultimately transform them into unexpected compositions with greater meaning. Some of them are available for purchase. The average prices vary from $4,000 to $12,000. Whatever work you choose, Fine Art Shippers would be happy to help you with packing and transportation anywhere in the world.
